Hello, and Welcome.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. I provide in-person psychotherapy to individuals in the Triangle area, as well as teletherapy to individuals in North Carolina (Lic #6591), California (Lic #28785), and PSYPACT participating states (APIT #19706). I have worked in community and private settings since 2010 and have helped people with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and the challenges of adolescence and college life.
Before opening my private practice in 2018, I spent three years working in the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael, California, where I provided individual and group therapy and supervised postdoctoral residents. I also worked as a mental health counselor at Albany High School in Albany, California, where I led therapy groups for 11th and 12th graders.
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I completed my postdoctoral training at Kaiser Permanente, San Rafael, and my predoctoral internship at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. Before that, I trained at a number of other San Francisco Bay Area agencies, including Richmond Area Multi-Services, the Ann Martin Center, and A Home Within. Before becoming a clinical psychologist, I spent 3 years working as a political reporter in Washington, DC.
I earned my Bachelor’s in English from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. My background in English literature informs my approach to therapy, in that I’m very interested in the stories we tell about ourselves and how these stories influence our feelings and choices.
